Top & Roving

Unless otherwise indicated, our top will be a blend of Merino and USA grown fiber -- with a micron count between 23.50 and 24.95.

Other specialty breeds or blends will be indicated in a specific listing.

Hand-dyed individually as the color muse dictates each dye session. 

Although I used to dye my top purposefully covering every bit of white, I typically now dye purposefully leaving some areas un-dyed or lightly dyed.  As a spinner, I prefer white areas in my roving or top. By blending those white areas with the colors as you spin, you control tints of the colors with very little effort.  You in essence, are allowed to paint with the fiber as you spin, creating a depth in your yarn that allows it to shine.
